A non-refundable deposit of 25% is required to make a booking or full payment if the first day is within 6 weeks. We will hold a reservation for 5 days while awaiting deposit, after which time we reserve the right to re-let without notice. The balance is due 6 weeks prior to the first day of the holiday, if a balance payment has not been received by Caalm Leisure within seven days of the due date, we reserve the right to re-let without notice, the deposit is non- refundable.
Should you need to cancel the holiday for whatever reason we will do our best to re-let it for you. If successful, we will reimburse you for the amount the holiday is re-let at minus an administration fee of £40. If we are unable to re-let no refund will be given. We reccomend that insurance is taken out by the customer to protect themselves from any financial loss in the case that due to unforseen circumstances they need to be cancel their reservation.
In the unlikely event of the yurts not being available due to unforeseen circumstances, we cannot accept liability or responsibility for any loss, including consequential loss, but the full cost of the holiday will be refunded.
Your yurt will be ready from 2.30pm on arrival day. We ask visitors to arrive between 2.30pm and 7.00pm. If you think that your arrival time will be outside of these hours, we ask that you kindly contact us in advance, as we do not have a permanent reception. Visitors who arrive outside of these times must be prepared not to be greeted at the site, but will receive instructions on how to reach your yurt.
Please vacate the campsite by 10.00am on the day of departure unless otherwise agreed.
Communal room, kitchen and campsite are shared areas, we ask that you please clean and tidy up after yourselves for consideration to other camp guests.
Please remember you are staying in a rural camping environment with animals, a lake? and other hazards associated with the countryside. Some of the camp equipment can be dangerous if misused or unattended. Please be aware that accidents can happen and we are not responsible for such accidents. It is your responsibility to ensure that you supervise any children with you.
We are a relaxed quiet site. We do not allow amplified music or drumming and request that all noise be kept to a minimum after 10.00pm.
We are happy for you to re-arrange any of the benches and furniture as you wish, but request that leave your yurt exactly as you found it at the beginning of your holiday.
Outdoor shoes must not be worn inside the yurt. For this reason we advise you bring slippers or other easy to remove footwear.
We do not ask for a damages deposit as the majority of our guests are careful. We do understand that sometimes accidents happen, so if you do break or damage anything, we would ask that you report it to us immediately, so that we can make arrangements to replace or repair it for the next guests. We will only charge for replacement in exceptional cases where neglect or deliberate mistreatment is obvious, as we accept that a degree of wear and tear is to be expected. Equally if you find anything broken or not working upon your arrival, please let us know straight away.
Any complaints must be made known to us immediately. No complaints will be entertained at the end of the hiring period or after the hirer has departed. Caalm Leisure is relieved from liability should the accommodation or other facilities be unavailable due to circumstances beyond our control.
The maximum number of persons (not including cots) occupying the property must not exceed the maximum number stated in the property description (website and others). The proprietor reserves the right to decline accommodation and to order any unauthorised person off the premises. The proprietor accepts no liability for any accident, injury, loss or damage sustained by any resident, their family, visitors, animals, vehicle or personal effects however caused.
Guests bringing their own bicycles should ensure they are locked, please bring locks with you. The proprietor cannot be held responsible for damage or theft to bicycles left on the property. Bicycles are NOT permitted in the yurts.
Guests are obliged to take care of the property and leave it clean and tidy at the end of their holiday, disposing of all rubbish in the recycling and other bins adjacent to The Old Hay Barn. The management reserve the right to charge extra if heavy duty cleaning is required after their departure. We also reserve the right to refuse another booking from the guest should we be disappointed with the condition of the property upon departure.
Each yurt has a fire extinguisher and fire blankets. We also provide heat resistant gloves for loading the stove and can provide fire guards for the stove on request.
Campfires are to be attended at all times and must be kept small and manageable, and only use the firewood provided. Parents and guardians are expected to supervise their children at all times. We take every care to ensure you have a safe and enjoyable holiday, but cannot be held liable for any accidents or consequential loss.
